What We Do: We operate the first and largest peer-to-peer marketplace for laundry services. Our app allows users to outsource their laundry, essentially eliminating it from their lives. Additionally, we provide a unique work-from-home opportunity, as many people have underutilized washers and dryers. By using our Laundry Pro app, they can turn these appliances into income-generating assets. Our platform aims to enhance the quality of life for all users.

Our Progress: Achieving perfect product-market fit led to a 100x increase in users and revenue, with double-digit month-over-month growth in recent years. By 2021, we expanded to over 500 markets across the United States. In March 2022, we secured a $10 million seed round with investments from Headline, Origin Ventures, Starting Line VC, Ludlow Ventures, and Clean Ventures, along with angel investors like Max Mullen (Instacart co-founder), Steven Galanis (Cameo co-founder and CEO), Joanna Riley (Censia co-founder and CEO), and Rob Chesnut (Chief Ethics Officer at Airbnb). Significant growth continued through 2022 and 2023.

Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report to our Principal Engineer, who sets the technical strategy for user experience. You will be instrumental in technology selection and establishing best practices in app and web development. Your main responsibility will be building the product, focusing on technical excellence and innovation. Our tech stack primarily uses TypeScript, with Angular/Ionic on the frontend and Firebase with Node.js on the backend.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Upper-intermediate to fluent English speaking and writing skills.
• 10+ years of hands-on Software Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Frontend frameworks (Angular, React.js, Vue.js, or React Native).
• 3+ years of hands-on Node.js backend experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on TypeScript experience.
• Demonstrated experience building mobile consumer-facing applications at scale.
• Currently coding and enthusiastic about continuing to code.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive, driven, and innovative mindset suited to fast-paced environments.
• Passion for building new things and fostering innovation.
• Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a fully remote environment with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with a strong emphasis on TypeScript.
• Knowledge of frontend, backend, and DevOps technologies.
• Experience implementing and monitoring metrics for cloud services.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivated with a preference for high-velocity, asynchronous work environments.
