As a Software Developer at Caseware, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying microservices to support data analysis in our cloud environment. You'll work closely with various teams to create complex and innovative solutions that enable large-scale data analysis. You'll be part of the Data Analytics team, which focuses on data extraction from multiple sources, providing insightful reports, tailored analytics, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

Design, test, and implement solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends, develop proof of concepts, and present innovative ideas to contribute to our engineering culture.

Collaborate on requirement and solution design with developers, team leads, product managers, and UX designers.

Participate in the team on-call rotation, identifying and eliminating persistent root causes of issues.

Work closely with DevOps/DevSuccess to iteratively improve the team's build system, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and SOLID principles.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in several of the following languages/technologies: Angular, Java/Spring, NodeJS, GraphQL, Python.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and enhance existing architecture.
  • Implement proof of concepts effectively.
  • Active participation in code reviews and design discussions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in English (B2 level) for effective communication and collaboration.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Github Actions.
  • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
