About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Tech Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Vue or similar front-end technologies. Experience with Ruby on Rails is ideal, but other backend technologies are also acceptable. As a key member of our Qualified Team, you will mentor the development team, ensuring best practices, promoting teamwork, and delivering high-quality and performant solutions on time. You will be responsible for developing new features, maintaining, and scaling the existing application, which is integral to the company's core product.

Your main focus will be on the functionality, performance, and security of both front-end and back-end applications. You will work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive the success of our team, product, and company. This includes taking ownership, participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and encouraging best practices to ensure high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to learn, experiment, and innovate on assigned developments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design robust, scalable, and maintainable frontend systems using Vue and backend systems using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to achieve team and business goals.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including full stack developers, product managers, and designers, to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the development and implementation of new features, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in and mentor the code review process to ensure code quality, consistency, and compliance with coding standards.
• Optimize application performance and scalability to support a growing user base.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to quickly resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain APIs for seamless integration with third-party services and applications.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends and incorporate relevant technologies and methodologies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automation and efficiency measures.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
• Proficiency in NodeJs, Vue, React, or similar front-end technologies.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Ruby on Rails version 4 onwards.
• Familiarity with MongoDB.
• Knowledge of CSS, ReactJS, and Angular frameworks is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in driving growth and executing impactful projects.
• Solid understanding of APIs, both consuming and integrating, and the ability to quickly learn and utilize new APIs.
• Self-directed and proactive mindset with a track record of independently delivering high-quality solutions and results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate through ambiguity.
• Comfortable working in asynchronous environments.
