Role: IT Associate

Schedule: Monday to Friday / 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST, with potential flexibility of 2-3 hours

Type of Contract: Full Time - Independent Contractor

Salary Range: $2,500 - $3,500 (Depending on Experience)

Role Overview:

The IT Associate is responsible for managing software provisioning, user and license management, systems administration, and IT security within the organization. This position plays a key role in advancing security initiatives, managing software license budgets, and addressing IT Help Desk requests to ensure the smooth functioning of the company's IT infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Software Provisioning and Systems Management:

  • Oversee the installation, setup, and maintenance of software applications; ensure systems are current and running smoothly.
  • Monitor system performance and address issues as they occur.

User and License Management:

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and licenses, ensuring adherence to company IT standard operating procedures.
  • Control and optimize software license budgets to prevent overspending.
  • Assist the Office Manager in handling hardware provisioning, setup, and distribution.

Helpdesk Management:

  • Promptly respond to and resolve helpdesk inquiries.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
  • Document and track helpdesk activities to identify trends and enhance service quality.

IT Security:

  • Develop and uphold IT security policies and procedures.
  • Lead security initiatives to protect the company's IT systems from threats.
  • Monitor and address security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Project Management:

  • Aid in the planning and execution of IT projects.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Maintain project documentation and report progress to the IT Director.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills (required)
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration roles.
  • Strong understanding of software provisioning, systems management, and IT security best practices.
  • Relevant IT certifications are advantageous (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Security+).
