We are looking for a talented and seasoned WordPress Designer and Developer to join our team, where you'll be tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications for our clients. As a WordPress Developer, your main role will be to transform web designs into functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites that meet client needs. You will work closely with our design and content teams to ensure a smooth and engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Design: Create visually appealing website designs that align with a client's brand guidelines, color schemes, and content requirements.
• Website Development: Utilize your WordPress expertise to build and customize websites and web applications based on project specifications and design standards.
• Theme and Plugin Development: Develop custom themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and aesthetics. Modify existing themes/plugins as necessary.
• Front-End Development: Implement responsive and consistent designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensure compatibility across different devices and browsers.
• Back-End Development: Set up and manage WordPress installations, databases, and server environments. Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
• Content Management: Handle updates, additions, and modifications of content on WordPress websites, ensuring content is effectively presented and optimized for SEO.
• Performance Optimization: Improve website speed, mobile responsiveness, and site architecture. Implement technical SEO best practices like structured data, canonical URLs, and secure HTTPS to enhance user experience and search engine indexing.
• Security and Maintenance: Implement security protocols to protect websites from potential threats. Conduct regular updates, backups, and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5-8 years of proven experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Demonstrated experience in designing websites for WordPress implementation using brand guidelines and content directives. Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD is beneficial.
• A background in graphic design is advantageous, especially with experience in digital media or fine arts.
• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role managing multiple websites.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including themes (e.g., Divi, Elementor), plugins, and APIs.
• Familiarity with front-end libraries/frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, jQuery).
• Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
• Ability to work with design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Sketch) to extract assets and accurately implement designs.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
• Must be based in Guadalajara.
