LastPass is looking for a Security Operations Engineer:
As a member of the Detection, Automation, Engineering & Response Team (DA3RT), your main focus will be on developing and maintaining tools that automate repetitive tasks, allowing cybersecurity analysts to tackle more complex issues. This role requires expertise in automation, scripting, and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles. Experience with SOAR is highly preferred.

Who will you work with?
Security Operations Engineers collaborate with various areas of the business, including Security Operations teams, Detection Engineers, and Security Engineers.
Exciting challenges you'll work on:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation tools to streamline repetitive security tasks.
- Collaborate with Security Operations analysts to understand workflow needs and pain points.
- Partner with engineering and other stakeholders to define and drive an automated rapid response program, securing our extensive technological footprint.
- Implement automated alerts and responses for potential security incidents.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, technologies, and trends in cloud computing, AI, and big data.
- Provide training and support for the use of automated tools and processes.
What it takes to work at LastPass:
- Proven experience as a Security Automation Engineer.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and automation technologies.
- Previous experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred but not required:
- Generalist experience or knowledge in DevOps/Platform Engineering.
- Generalist experience or knowledge in Penetration Testing, Red Teaming, or Hunt concepts.
