We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Business Operations team. As our organization increasingly relies on data to drive daily operations, this role will be pivotal in collecting data, using analytical, statistical, and programming skills to extract valuable insights, and creating visualizations to present to key stakeholders.

What Your Day Might Look Like

Using tools such as Amazon Web Services, MySQL, Python, AWS Glue, Quicksight, and JavaScript, your daily activities may include:

• Developing detailed data models and dictionaries for use in data warehouses, utilizing knowledge of the AWS suite.
• Identifying and handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies in data.
• Transforming data into formats suitable for analysis.
• Maintaining data warehouses to store and manage large volumes of data.
• Integrating data from multiple sources to create unified datasets for analysis.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and communicating findings and insights to stakeholders.
• Improving database models and querying techniques to enhance query efficiency.
• Applying machine learning models to forecast customer demand, enabling better inventory management.
• Constructing comprehensive data dashboards for effective and timely data visualization.

What You Need to Succeed

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate has over 3 years of experience working as a Data Scientist and is proficient in:

• Experience with BI tools like AWS Quicksight is preferred; experience with Tableau or Power BI is also acceptable.
• Automation experience using APIs and scripting languages like Python is essential; experience with JavaScript is beneficial.
• Strong SQL skills, including preparing data using complex SQL queries.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts is advantageous.
• Essential experience in database management.

• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
