About the Role:

OfferUp is a rapidly expanding mobile marketplace for local buying and selling. Our Advertising Team is seeking a skilled frontend software engineer to help us develop innovative, top-tier advertising solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining our mobile advertising features and technologies.

This position is available only to individuals located outside the United States and its territories.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Build and sustain high-quality, user-friendly advertising experiences using React Native, Kotlin (Android), Swift (iOS), and GraphQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advertising solutions that boost revenue and enhance user experience.
• Manage and maintain native SDK-based ad partner integrations within a React Native application.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of our advertising offerings.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Over 4 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• At least 3 years of experience with React Native, and 2+ years with Kotlin (Android) or Swift (iOS).
• Bonus: Experience with GraphQL.
• Proven track record of shipping apps to the App Store.
• Strong understanding of mobile development concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English required).
