Occupying a unique position in the market, they are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their team in New York (or remotely) who is passionate about working on teams that solve interesting, large-scale problems rapidly. This role will significantly contribute to the development and iteration of the client's existing and emerging systems, powering an ever-expanding set of product offerings. Responsibilities:

• Leverage the latest version of their API to enhance their modern single-page Vue.js applications by creating new features and functionality.
• Support existing platforms relied upon by thousands of businesses daily.
• Lead by example for other team members as a dedicated, passionate, and flexible technologist who constantly seeks the ideal solution to a problem.
• Collaborate with their UX team to build consistent, responsive, and highly reusable widgets as components throughout their applications.
• Optimize page load performance using best practices where possible.
• Participate in critical software design decisions that will have a lasting impact on the client's platform and products.
• Stay current with modern technologies and trends and advocate for their inclusion within products when appropriate.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility for all major modern browsers.
• Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery.
• Be uncompromising in delivering beautiful UI/UX experiences.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues quickly and effectively when they arise.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor engineering, QA, operations, and product staff to deliver the best possible solutions for the company.
• Help define, document, evolve, and promote high engineering standards and best practices across multiple areas.
• Move quickly and intelligently—seeing technical debt as your adversary.

What Will Help You Succeed

• Over 5 years of experience working on rich, complex, and ever-evolving front-end user experiences with Vue.js.
• Proven track record of practical, thoughtful problem-solving.
• Experience working on high-traffic, international systems.
• Extensive experience with HTML and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Deep understanding and extensive experience with CSS, including preprocessors.
• Experience working in and advocating for agile environments.
• Extensive experience with highly responsive web applications.
• Familiarity with state-management libraries (Redux, Vuex, Mobx, etc).
• Advanced experience with client-side unit testing and associated tools (Jest, Sinon, Chai, etc).
