We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in functional programming and experience in object-oriented development. This role is ideal for someone passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

About the Role

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems using both functional and object-oriented programming languages.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Write effective APIs and microservices to enhance and optimize system architecture.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and system integration.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Maintain code integrity and organization, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.

What We're Looking For

• Over 4 years of experience coding in Scala.
• A total of 7+ years of development experience.
• Experience with effect libraries like Cats-Effect.
• Experience developing Scala APIs (experience with http4s and Tapir is a plus).
• Experience with JavaScript (preferably TypeScript) and Node.js and/or React.js is a plus.
