Our primary focus is on reducing and shifting electricity consumption for commercial establishments, and we are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team.

In this key role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend systems that drive our platform, with a particular emphasis on integrating novel LoRaWAN IoT hardware devices. You will collaborate closely with our teams to tackle backend engineering tasks, optimize hardware integrations, and contribute to building robust and future-proof code, ultimately driving innovation across our product offerings and scaling our platform.

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in building and maintaining backend systems, with a strong foundation in software development and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Proficiency in LoRaWAN architecture, protocol stack, and network components, as well as experience with LoRaWAN gateways and end devices.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and C/C++ (for embedded systems), with the ability to develop and maintain high-quality code.
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, specifically LoRa, and experience with IoT platforms and cloud services, such as AWS IoT.
• Knowledge of IoT communication protocols, specifically MQTT, and experience in integrating various IoT devices.
• Experience working with PostgresSQL, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable, although not essential.
• Prior experience working in a startup environment, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting, and effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and develop creative solutions.
• The ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks, dedicating the majority of your time to hands-on coding, troubleshooting, and implementation of robust and scalable solutions.
