As a test automation engineer, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and improving test automation coverage for our backend APIs. You'll work closely with engineers and quality team peers to understand test requirements and build test coverage to enable fast development iterations without sacrificing the quality of our releases. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in software development and testing, with a focus on test automation
• 3+ years of experience in test automation with a focus on API testing
• Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, Java, Springboot, and associated test frameworks
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, WebDriverIO, and RestAssured
• Proficiency with CICD pipelines using tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, and Jenkins
• Strong understanding of relational databases such as MySql, Postgres, and MSSQL
• Ability to work independently, owning projects and quality outcomes
• Experience with observability platforms such as DataDog and NewRelic
• Experience utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Proven understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices for UI and REST API testing
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Professional working proficiency with English
