Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in an agile environment with a team of engineers to create new products and services, and enhance existing solutions and workflows.
• Develop clean, high-quality code and write automated tests to ensure its functionality.
• Deploy solutions independently and offer technical recommendations to the team.
• Work closely with teams across Brightcove to scope and deliver new features.
• Provide operational support for Brightcove applications.
• Adopt a team-oriented approach by doing what needs to be done, supporting colleagues, and celebrating successes.

Qualifications/Experience:

• 2+ years of front-end software engineering experience.
• 1+ years of experience with React.
• 1+ years of experience with NodeJS and Express.
• 1+ years of experience developing containerized, self-scaling backend infrastructure.
• Experience with REST and API design.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new ways of working and collaborating—team player with a proactive and innovative mindset.
• Demonstrable experience in developing, deploying, and supporting scalable back-end services.
• Experience in delivering and supporting high-scale SaaS solutions.
• Knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment infrastructure for web apps is a plus.
