We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Security team, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of security at our company. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure systems, collaborating with other teams to promote security best practices, and developing solutions to protect our users' data.

Our Security team is committed to ensuring the integrity of our systems and protecting our users' trust. We achieve this by designing and building secure architecture, consulting with other teams on new products and features, anticipating potential threats, and responding to incidents. Our work spans all levels of the stack, from infrastructure to web application security, as well as mobile apps, IT, and autonomous vehicles. We take a software engineering approach to security, focusing on automation, tooling, and frequent shipping.

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for developing critical services, architecting and building secure systems, and promoting security best practices throughout the company.

• Develop and maintain critical security services, such as identity and access management platforms and credential management services.
• Design and build secure systems that balance security with scalability and usability.
• Collaborate with other teams to promote security best practices and ensure that our services and workflows are secure by default.
• Embed security best practices, such as least privilege, isolation, monitoring, authentication, and authorization, across our infrastructure.
• Provide data-driven insights to engineers to inform decision-making and drive security improvements.

• Solid experience with a high-level programming language, with a preference for Python, Go-lang, and shell scripts.
• Experience with or a deep interest in computer security.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to advocate for security proposals and empathize with team goals and priorities.
• Good judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance security needs with resource constraints.
• Understanding of computer network security, including protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, and DNS.
