Katapult works with PMF+ startups and businesses in the United States with a team-augmentation model. That means we either become or augment their current product engineering team.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Engineer with solid frontend experience particularly in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS who is excited to grow into a fullstack contributor. You’ll play a key role in delivering polished user experiences while collaborating across the entire product lifecycle.

Technical Scope

As a Product Engineer, you’ll be expected to contribute across the stack by:

• Building UIs with React and Tailwind CSS

• Implementing API-level changes using Fastify

• Managing database migrations with Drizzle ORM

• Writing autonomous backend tests

• Creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Developing and integrating email campaigns

• Working with Temporal (or similar durable queues/flows)

• Automating workflows using GitHub Actions

• Writing clean, type-safe code in TypeScript

Back-End Context

While backend development is part of the role, much of our system relies on external SaaS services that manage logic and orchestration. These include:

• Temporal – used for managing workflows and task queues

• Other integrated services that handle complex system flows

Note: Prior experience with these platforms is not required — we’re looking for someone curious, adaptable, and eager to learn.
