Job Overview

At Katapult, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong AI-first mindset to create high-impact web and mobile applications powered by cutting-edge AI technologies like OpenAI, Whisper, and ElevenLabs.

The ideal candidate has solid experience with React.js, React Native, and is comfortable integrating with cloud services (e.g. AWS Amplify, Lambda, S3, Cognito) and third-party APIs (Stripe, auth, media, etc.).

You’ll work in a fast-paced, product driven environment with a high level of technical ownership perfect for someone who’s passionate about building clean, scalable, AI-enhanced experiences. Our client is reinventing podcasting with "one-click podcasting" powered by AI. Their platform lets anyone instantly become a guest on AI-hosted podcast channels.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain our web, mobile, and desktop applications from the ground up.

• Integrate cutting-edge AI features such as transcription, synthetic voice, and smart content generation.

• Optimize performance across platforms and devices.

• Collaborate closely with a world-class team to make product and architecture decisions.

• Ship fast, iterate quickly, and maintain a clean, scalable codebase.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience with React.js and React Native.

• Strong understanding of the full development lifecycle for web and mobile apps.

• Skilled at working with REST APIs, SDKs, and third-party dependencies.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Fast-paced startup mindset: ability to prioritize, adapt, and move quickly.

• High ownership attitude and a strong sense of accountability.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.

Tech Stack We’re Looking For

You should have real-world, hands-on experience with many of the following technologies:

Frontend & Mobile

• React.js (modern web apps, SSR experience a plus)

• React Native (cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android)

• Next.js (routing, server-side rendering, static site generation)

Light Backend & Infrastructure

• AWS (Amplify, Lambda, S3, Cognito, etc.)

• Third-party SDKs and APIs (Stripe, authentication, payment, etc.)

AI & Audio Integration

• APIs such as OpenAI (GPT), Whisper, ElevenLabs

• Audio/voice processing and media integration

Bonus Points

• Experience with Next.js (especially SSR and advanced routing).

• Experience building native iOS/Android modules.

• Background in social media, audio, or AI-driven apps.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

• Previous work in fast-paced startup environments or early-stage products.
