As Tech Lead, you’ll lead an engineering vertical building real-time logistics and transactional systems. You’ll organize delivery, translate business priorities into clear technical work, support a small development team, and remain hands-on by regularly shipping production code.

You’ll act as the bridge between engineering and cross-functional leadership, communicating priorities, technical trade-offs, and delivery timelines. Your scope will include real-time location tracking, carrier matching, event-driven services, and payment integrations.

What you’ll do

• Lead sprint planning and execution, breaking complex initiatives into clear, actionable tasks.

• Write, review, and ship production-grade backend code, leading by example.

• Mentor developers and establish standards for code quality, testing, and code reviews.

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to align priorities, dependencies, scope, and timelines.

• Design and maintain geospatial capabilities for location tracking, geofencing, route geometry, and carrier matching.

• Build reliable event-driven services for logistics and transactional workflows, including safeguards against duplicate processing.

• Build and maintain payment, payout, and Open Banking integrations.

• Establish proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability across production services.

• Own the vertical’s technical roadmap and contribute to architectural decisions.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years in senior or technical leadership roles while remaining hands-on with backend development.

• Experience leading a small engineering team and delivering production software.

• Strong system design, API integration, database design, debugging, and production reliability skills.

• Experience building logistics, fintech, or operational systems where reliability directly impacts the business.

• Strong PostgreSQL and PostGIS experience, including geospatial queries, geofencing, and route geometry.

• Hands-on experience with Redis Geo for real-time location and proximity matching.

• Experience designing event-driven systems with Kafka or equivalent technologies.

• Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD.

• Experience integrating payment or Open Banking providers such as Plaid, Belvo, or TrueLayer.

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

• Fluent English and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in startup environments, particularly logistics or fintech.

• Kafka Streams or Faust.

• Real-time fraud or alternative credit systems.

• Familiarity with PCI-DSS or SOC 2.

• Kubernetes.

• Based in Brazil.

What success looks like

By day 30, you’ll establish a consistent sprint cadence and ship your own code to production. By day 60, you’ll provide reliable estimates, with clear code review standards and proactive monitoring in place. By day 90, you’ll own the vertical’s technical roadmap and have a clear plan for the next two quarters.
