As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you’ll lead the development of high-performance, responsive web experiences using React while helping drive the day-to-day technical direction of the team.

You’ll combine technical leadership with hands-on development: mentoring engineers, removing blockers, establishing frontend best practices, and shipping production code. Working with a distributed Latin American team, you’ll own features from component architecture through deployment for a high-precision tax preparation platform where performance, accuracy, and accessibility are critical.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor frontend and cross-functional engineers, providing technical direction and establishing code review standards.

• Architect and build complex React components and feature modules with a strong focus on maintainability and user experience.

• Own frontend features end to end, from technical design through production deployment.

• Optimize application performance through code splitting, memoization, efficient state management, and other modern React patterns.

• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and contribute to .NET backend services when needed.

• Identify and remove technical bottlenecks and help the team resolve complex engineering challenges.

• Diagnose production and cross-browser issues while maintaining strong testing and documentation standards.

• Translate UX requirements into effective, accessible, and intuitive frontend solutions.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years building production applications with React.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, Engineering Manager, or similar role. This experience must be clearly demonstrated in your professional background.

• Deep knowledge of modern React, including hooks, functional components, component architecture, and state management.

• Strong TypeScript, ES6+, asynchronous JavaScript, and REST API skills.

• Strong understanding of software architecture and frontend engineering best practices.

• Experience collaborating across frontend and backend systems; .NET experience is a plus.

• Strong understanding of UX and user-centered design principles.

• Ability to remain hands-on while mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.

• C1 English or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
