Job Description
This position is suited for a mid-level professional (3+ years’ experience) with prior exposure to corporate compliance, risk, or due diligence functions and an advanced English level.
Candidates from international trade, customs administration, international relations, consulting or similar fields are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) research in support of export control and sanctions compliance
• Perform open-source intelligence (OSINT) research using public registries, media, corporate filings, and commercial research tools
• Analyze customer profiles to identify sanctions, export control, ownership, structural, or diversion-related risk indicators
• Evaluate business models, including OEM and system-integration scenarios, to assess downstream and end-use risk
• Clearly document research findings, risk indicators, and rationale in tracking or case-management tools
• Provide risk-based recommendations, including:
Proceed (go)
Do not proceed (no-go)
Request additional information or clarification
• Apply professional judgment in cases where risk indicators do not meet mandatory escalation thresholds but warrant further inquiry
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Trade Compliance, Sales Operations) to resolve questions and close cases
• Follow established processes, guidance, and supervisory direction, while maintaining accuracy and consistency
• Contribute to continuous improvement of KYC procedures, templates, and research standards
Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
KYC / CDD
Sanctions or export compliance
Restricted-party screening
Risk, compliance, or due diligence functions in a corporate environment
• Strong open-source research and analytical investigation skills
• Ability to assess and document risk using incomplete, fragmented, or imperfect data
• Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel or Smartsheet skills for analysis, tracking, and documentation
• Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to:
